    Hi!

    I need to change the current fonts for menu, title and content to Playfair Display, Montserrat y Brandon Grotesque. Can you help me to add those fonts to the selection?

    Thanks!

    Hi there and sorry for late reply!

    Switching the fonts needs some customizations which is beyond our support limits. But we can provide you a couple of tips about that.

    You'll see 3 class names in theme's core files: playfair, montserrat and arial. playfair and arial gets the font that you've chosen from your customizer (1.6. Primary Font & 1.7. Content Font). And montserrat is static.

    If you want to change the title font for example, it's placed in core files like below:

    <h1 class="fs40 playfair chief-hdr">...</h1>

    Now, to use Montserrat font instead of Playfair Display, just replace playfair class with montserrat. Like this:

    <h1 class="fs40 montserrat chief-hdr">...</h1>

    I hope this helps.

    And about Brandon Grotesque font, we're only able to help with Google Fonts. If you choose a font from https://fonts.google.com/ , we'd be happy to add it into your customizer.

    By the way, soon we'll add all of the Google Fonts to Metz theme.

    Hi!

    You´re absolutely right about brandon!

    There will be all google fonts, they are

    Menu: Monserrat, Title: Playfair, Text Roboto y josefin sans.

    Can you add them to the customizer?

    The thing I don´t understand is Monserrat being static, and it can´t be added to the customizer?

    Thanks!

    Hi again (:

    Let me clarify, what I mean was, on Metz's customizer, there's no setting to change the font for the elements those are using Montserrat right now. So it should be done by editing the core files. To change it, open functions.php file and look for the line below:

    wp_register_style( 'montserrat', 'http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Montserrat&subset=latin' );

    Replace the second part with the font you'd like to see. With Roboto for example:

    wp_register_style( 'montserrat', 'https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Roboto' );

    Note that you should keep the 'montserrat' part.

    Sure, we can add Montserrat to your customizer. Please share your WP login address, username and password in a PRIVATE REPLY to let us do it.

    But as I said in my first reply, right now you can not set a font for a specific element via customizer. Instead, you should play with the class names in core files.

    Sorry, forgot to add! You should take one more action to change the Montserrat font. After editing the functions.php file, please open style.css file and search for the lines below:

    font-family: 'Montserrat', sans-serif;

    Then replace it with the one below (for Roboto):

    font-family: 'Roboto', sans-serif;

    Save the file and you should be fine.

    Montserrat font is ready. The only thing you need to do is extracting the attached zip file into the .../metz/css/fonts/ folder on your server. Then you can start to use the font on your customizer.

    Excellent! you are great! :D

    Just one doubt, if I update the theme, will I loose this mod? In this case could you give me the code and where to add it please?

    thank you very much!!!

    You're welcome

    No worries, as I said before, soon (in the next update) we'll add all of the Google Fonts to Metz theme.

    So yes, the changes we've made will be lost but you'll already no longer need to keep it
