    Hi,

I hope you can help me with the following. I can't figure out how I can make 4 static image blocks (clickable) beneath the slider. Before I bought this theme, I thought this was possible with the 2 column layout...

I used the 2 column layout for homepage, but how can I get the image blocks there? Should I make posts? Gallery? Should I use a plugin? I tried some things, but nothings shows.

    Can you please assist?

    Kind regards,

    Patrick

    Hey Patrick

Pardon me but I'm a bit confused. Could you please clarify what made you think that it's possible to add image blocks beneath the slider on our demo site? http://burnhambox.com/krunk/?home=two_columns

You're talking about something like the attached image, right? If so, Krunk doesn't have a feature to do that for now. And placing those blocks over there needs additional customization which is unfortunately beyond our support limits.

But I can say that in a near future we'll add a widgetized area right there and you'll able to add widgets in 3 columns. Then you can catch the view you wish.

Please let us know if I get you wrong!

    Have a nice weekend

    Hi ,

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I mean like in the image you send me: http://burnhambox.com/krunk/?home=two_columns

What you see in that picture, are that posts (or pages? Or Gallery?)? That would also be ok, but how can I show them there, beneath the slider on homepage?

Hope to hear from you soon, enjoy your weekend,

    Patrick

p.s.: Yes, it would be great if you add a widgetized area in future :)

    Hi,

Update. I found how I can show slider and posts beneath. But I don't understand how I can make the HOME page show these slider + posts. I did the following:

In theme options - homepage settings I selected a 'static page'

I made 2 pages: HOME and BLOGS

I set the homepage to HOME and post page to BLOGS

This results in the homepage just showing an empty HOME, but not the slider and posts. But the BLOG page shows the slider and posts.

What I want is that main domain studioimby.nl shows the homepage (with slider, 4 posts and Instagram widget). Just like on your demo:http://burnhambox.com/krunk/?home=two_columns

I hope you understand what I mean. I just don't understand how to configure the pages/ post/ menu to get what I want. Is it possible to see how you have done it in the backoffice of the demo? Can you give me access? I think it's easier for me to compare.

    Sorry for the trouble.

    Kind regards,

    Patrick

Hi Patrick, sorry for late reply!

If you're going to show the blog posts on your homepage, you do not to create an additional page!

Just go to "Settings > Reading" and set the "Your homepage displays" to "Your latest posts". If you want to see 4 posts, then set the "Blog pages show at most" to 4.

Then go to "Appearance > Customize > 6. Layout Options > 6.1. Blog Homepage Layout" and choose "2 Columns". Additionally, if you want to catch the exact view on our demo site, set the "Number of posts to show in "Style Z":" value to 2.

You can have a look at the documentation file to learn how to use the Krunk Slider. You can find it in "Help" folder (index.html), inside the zip file you've downloaded from ThemeForest.

    Hi!

Thank you for the clear info, it worked. Stupid I didn't thought of that.

But now I'm wondering, how can I get the Instagram slider beneath the 4 blocks on the Homepage?

And if I want to add text or images? Where/ how can I edit this page?

Hope you can assist once again!

    Kind regards,

    Patrick

Ah, sorry I forgot about the Instagram Slider. Please see this article: How to Create a Shortcode for Instagram Slider Widget

It belongs to another theme of us, but the process is the same.

"And if I want to add text or images? Where/ how can I edit this page?"

In fact, you should do this manually. For now, Krunk hasn't got a shortcode to display the blog posts separately. That's why you can't use the blog posts on a static page. And this means you need to edit the index.php file and add your content manually (by editing the code).

In index.php file, everything you add BEFORE the line below will be shown under the slider:

    <div class="clearfix posts-wrapper main-container<?php echo krunk_apply_layout(); ?>">

And everything you add RIGHT BEFORE the line below will be shown under your blog posts:

    </div><!-- /main-container -->

    I hope this information helps!

    You're welcome

By the way, if you find some time, could you please be so kind to rate us on ThemeForest? Go to your "Downloads" section and click on the stars over there!

    Hi Kerem,

I think I encountered a bug in your theme.

To see what I mean, please open the site studioimby.nl on your mobile phone or mobile website checker.

It's about the mobile menu. Some Menu items who have a submenu, like 'Studio IMBY' and 'Workshops' are NOT clickable. When you click, it just opens the flyout submenu. Those pages should be clickable and redirect to page or post. By the way, on desktop it works.

Is there some setting I'm missing? Do you know how to solve?

    Kind regards,

    Patrick

    Hi again Patrick

No, it's not a bug. 50% of our customers want that unclickable and 50% of them the otherwiseSo we have made a choice. But I think it will be much better if we add a setting to the customizer for this. We'll be doing this.

For now, you can edit the /js/burnhambox.js file. Just look for the line below:

    allowParentLinks: false,

And replace it with the one below:

    allowParentLinks: true,

    You should be fine now.

    Hi Kerem,

Thank you. I made the code change and it works. :)

But sorry to bother you again, just one more question. On mobile, you can only see the submenu when you click on the small triangle behind the menu item. It would be much better if you hover over the menu item and the submenu will be shown automatically. Is this possible? I think this is much better for your theme and for visitors...

    Hope to hear from you.

    Kind regards,

    Patrick

    You're welcome

Mobile devices do not have a hover function, that's why it can not be done
